The regular meeting of the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners and Board of Equalization will commence immediately upon adjournment of the preceding budget hearing and special hearing to set the final tax request, which will begin on September 22, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the commissioner’s room at the courthouse in Fairbury. Preceding budget hearing and special hearing to set the final tax request will continue until all attendee testimony has concluded.Agenda and meeting notice are available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s office during normal business hours or at https://jeffersoncounty.nebraska.gov

Items are automatically approved when the consent agenda is approved unless an item is REMOVED by a Commissioner or any member of the public. Removed items will be placed under New Business for action by the County Board.
- Approve September 8, 2026 minutes
- Review/approve interlocal agreement to share mass notification system with Fillmore, Nuckolls, Saline & Thayer counties.
- Approve Special designated liquor license for Tooley’s to serve alcohol at the Jefferson County 4H building on October 10, 2026 for a wedding reception

Adopt Resolution 2026-11 adopting the ’26-’27 budget; Adopt Resolution 2026-12 setting the tax request for ’26-’27.
