Notice is hereby given that the duly appointed planning commission of Jefferson County, Nebraska, will hold a public hearing in the Jefferson County Courthouse, District Court room at 7:00 PM on the 8th day of January, 2026. Enter courthouse through the west first floor door.
Said hearing is for the purpose of presenting the proposed county comprehensive plan, including, but not limited to, elements, goals and policies, community engagement, population, housing, economic development, county facilities, parks and recreation, public safety, communications, utilities, energy, natural resources and environment, hazard mitigation, land use, transportation and implementation.
Said hearing is for the purpose of presenting the proposed county zoning regulations, including, but not limited to, the title and purpose, definitions, general provisions, official zoning map, zoning districts, conditional use permits, parking requirements, sign regulations, supplemental regulations, renewable energy, non-conformities, board of adjustment, applications and permits, amendment process and legal status.
The purpose of this hearing is to hear all persons with written or oral comments for or against said proposed regulations. Any party may appear in person or be represented by agent or attorney.
Copy of said county comprehensive plan and regulations are on file with the county clerk (411-4th, Fairbury) and may also be viewed at the zoning administrator’s office (313 S. K, Fairbury).
