10:00 a.m. – Public hearing on updated comprehensive plan and solar regulations
11:00 a.m. – Review/approve Resolution 2026 - 1 & 2026 – 2 to adopt the updated comprehensive plan and the solar regulations ; John McKee, emergency manager/planning & zoning/weed – review/sign 25-26 annual weed report
11:15 a.m. – Discuss/approve interlocal agreement with the Southeast Nebraska Development District that was tabled from 1-13-26.
11:30 a.m. – Discuss/approve updated lease for the Quadient Postage machine
1:00 p.m. - Grievance hearing – IBEW Local 1536 grievances regarding termination of Roben Ruhnke, Danny Meyer, Steve McNitt, and Ron Bray by Jefferson County. This agenda item serves as formal notice that the County Commissioners will conduct a hearing in accordance with the grievance procedure in the governing collective bargaining agreement between the County and IBEW Local 1536. This due process hearing will provide the parties an opportunity to present evidence and argument to the County Commissioners. The County Attorney has been appointed to serve as hearing officer. The hearing will take place in the Jefferson County District Court courtroom.
